Tarangire View tented lodge lies on top of a hill near Mpingo Ridge in Tarangire National Park with sweeping views towards the Tarangire River valley in the east and kopjes in the west. Housing 12 spacious house-style tents, this camp represents the ultimate safari “bush feeling” as it offers a stunning location with more than just a touch of comfort and privacy in one of Tanzania’s most scenically beautiful national parks.
The resident game includes elephants, waterbuck, lion, impala, jackal and leopard with a variety of bird life providing the wake up calls in the morning.

The camp is built on a hilltop near Mpingo Ridge, with the Tarangire River valley spread out to the east and kopjes rising to the west. That elevated position is the main reason to choose it, and it gives the camp an open bush feel that lower-lying sites in the park do not have.

There are 12 house-style tents, each measuring four by nine metres, with single, twin or double beds, a luggage rack, desk and chair, and an en-suite toilet, wash basin and shower. Each has its own terrace. There is a mess tent with a lounge and dining area, and the camp runs on solar power.
What is likely to be seen close to camp?
Resident game around the camp includes elephant, waterbuck, lion, impala, jackal and leopard, with plenty of birdlife serving as the morning alarm. Rates start from US$210 per person per night in the quieter months. Children of all ages are welcome, and we can confirm what the rate covers when we quote.
