Questions about Mahali Mzuri

Does the migration pass the camp?

It does. Mahali Mzuri sits in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy within the wider Maasai Mara ecosystem, right in the path of the annual great migration. Being on a conservancy rather than in the reserve itself means far fewer vehicles at a sighting.

How many tents are there?

Twelve. This is Sir Richard Branson's camp, and the name means beautiful place in Swahili. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and a private viewing deck looking out over the conservancy, and a range of spa treatments is available, from facials and massages to grooming rituals.

Where are meals served?

That depends on the day. Guests eat under the African sky, out in the open bush, on a deck or in the dining tent, and the team also lays on bush barbecues, champagne picnics and sundowners, drawing on African and international menus. Rates start from US$1,100 per person per night.
