Porini Mara Camp is the only non-seasonal safari camp set in Ol Kinyei Conservancy – an exclusive 18700 acre wilderness set aside as a wildlife sanctuary with a wide variety of species including big cats. The area has open plains, forests, rivers and stunning views. This exclusive setting provides the ultimate safari adventure in an unspoilt area, away from the crowds.
Game drives can also be taken in the nearby Maasai Mara National Reserve and the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy.
The award-winning Porini Mara Camp contains just six spacious guest tents and has an exclusive yet friendly feel, with each tent containing comfortable furnishings and ensuite facilities (with hot shower and flush toilet). The camp Chef uses fresh ingredients to prepare high-quality meals and even home-baked bread. Porini Mara Camp is fully-inclusive of meals, drinks (gin & tonics, wine, beer, sodas and mineral water) and all activities (including day and night game drives, sundowners and escorted walks).

Why is the rate quoted per tour rather than per night?
Because Porini Mara is sold as an all-inclusive three day, two night flying safari. The price covers your scheduled flight from Wilson Airport to Ol Seki airstrip, transfers, two nights full board, day and night shared game drives, sundowners, walks with Maasai warriors, conservancy fees and the flight back, so there is very little left to add.
What is Ol Kinyei Conservancy like compared with the main reserve?
Ol Kinyei is an exclusive 18,700-acre wildlife sanctuary of open plains, forest and rivers, with a good variety of species including big cats, and far fewer vehicles than the reserve. Porini Mara is the only non-seasonal camp within it. Game drives can also head into the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the neighbouring Naboisho Conservancy.
How large is the camp, and can children come?
There are just six guest tents, each with comfortable furnishings and en-suite facilities with a hot shower and flush toilet, so it stays small and friendly. Children above the age of eight are welcome, and child rates apply between eight and 16 years. Ask us and we will confirm those for your dates.
