It’s not exactly undiscovered or any kind of secret – the park’s thriving elephant population is world-famous – but a wonderful serenity prevails. The camp’s name alludes to its resident herd of impala, though their presence at the waterhole attracts a lot of other wildlife too – the interest of the lurking lions and leopards may not be entirely benign.
