Enasoit Camp, Laikipia, Kenya
A Luxury Tented Camp in Kenya
Camp Details
The Enasoit story arises from a Scandinavian family’s love and affinity for Africa. Born out of a spirit of adventure, what started as safari travel evolved into a lifelong journey of exploring Africa’s wild spaces and a deep commitment to developing and supporting conversion projects in East Africa. Over the last 30 years, the family has nurtured a profound connection with and appreciation for Kenya’s wildlife and wilderness, creating two enchanting Kenyan retreats.
Enasoit Camp is a private wildlife reserve and luxury tented camp on the foothills of Mount Kenya, and her sister property, Tusitiri Dhow, a restored traditional dhow based in the Lamu Archipelago. Both properties are available for exclusive hire.
Enasoit is the family’s Kenyan home, and their history and love for Kenya is intimately felt through the camp’s charm. Through the purchase of the land and establishment of the wildlife reserve, they have secured this important habitat and natural wildlife corridor.
WHY CHOOSE ENASOIT CAMP?
- Enasoit is a private wildlife reserve and luxury tented camp situated on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau at the foot of the Lolldaiga Hills.
- Enasoit’s Pool House is a quiet retreat nestled on a small hillside
- Bird watching in the highland cedar forests
Questions about Enasoit Camp
Can we book individual tents at Enasoit?
No, Enasoit is taken on an exclusive-use basis, which means the camp and its private wildlife reserve are yours alone. Rates run from US$6,600 per night in the low season to US$9,600 at 2026 peak dates, so it works best for a family or group travelling together.
What is there to do besides game drives?
The exclusive-use rate covers game drives and night drives, guided game walks, horse riding, mountain biking, picnics and bush dinners under the stars, massage treatments and extended excursions to the neighbouring conservancy. Birdwatching in the highland cedar forests is a quiet highlight, and the Pool House is a retreat on a small hillside.
Can Enasoit be combined with the coast?
It can. Enasoit sits on the Laikipia Plateau at the foot of the Lolldaiga Hills, and its sister property, Tusitiri Dhow, is a restored traditional dhow in the Lamu Archipelago. Both belong to the same family and both are hired exclusively, which makes a bush and ocean pairing straightforward to arrange.
