Situated on the edge of one of Kenya’s most private wildlife and environmental conservation projects, the wildlife-rich Lewa provides guests a home-away-from-home experience that’s hard to find these days.
When you arrive at the lodge, you’ll immediately feel like you’re with family. Just nine exclusive rooms dot the Lewa Wilderness landscape. Six cottages are tucked into the hillside overlooking the sprawling Eastern Marania Valley, plus a further three garden cottages that are cozy yet expansive are set amongst the beautiful lawn.

What can we do here besides game drives?
A great deal: guided walks, horse riding, camel safaris, biplane flights, visits to prehistoric sites, community crafts and visits to selected villages and schools, plus a trip to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy headquarters for educational talks and project visits. It is one of the broadest activity lists in Kenya.
What are the rooms like?
There are just nine. Six cottages are tucked into the hillside looking over the Eastern Marania Valley, and three garden cottages sit among the lawns. The lodge has a family-home feel rather than a hotel one, and children of all ages are welcome.
What is included, and are there extra fees?
Rates start from around US$1,110 per person per night and include full board, soft drinks, beer, spirits, non-premium wine, laundry, shared day and night game drives, activities and transfers from the Lewa airstrip. A conservancy fee of US$105 per person is charged separately.
