Best Time to Visit Chad

Best Time to Visit Chad

The ideal window in which to visit Chad falls between December and April. By this time, the rainy season in the country’s southern and central regions comes to an end, and Zakouma National Park reopens its luxury Tinga and Salamat camps. For Zakouma visitors, the peak time within this dry season occurs from March until May, but the cooler months from December to February also offer their own unforgettable sightings.

Climate and Weather of Chad

Chad’s climate varies depending upon its three zones. The Saharan Zone to the north remains hot and arid throughout the year, while the central Sahel region experiences a rainy season between May/June until November. During this period, rainfall occurs most heavily in the south and coincides with high temperatures that range from 27-33°C.

Chalo Africa provides luxury African safari tours and holidays from the United States (Santa Fe), United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and India.

We plan safaris to Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Uganda, Rwanda, Gabon, Ethiopia and elsewhere.
