Discover Tanzania

Tanzania is the beating heart of the African safari — home to the endless Serengeti plains, the wildlife-packed Ngorongoro Crater, and the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth, the Great Migration. From the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro to the ancient baobabs of Tarangire, every corner tells an epic story.

Beyond the famous Northern Circuit lie the wild, untrodden reserves of the south and west — Ruaha, Nyerere and remote Katavi — and the spice-scented beaches of Zanzibar and the Indian Ocean islands. Whether you seek thundering herds, chimpanzee forests or barefoot island luxury, Tanzania delivers it all.

When to visit Tanzania

June to October is the classic dry season — the best game viewing and the Serengeti’s dramatic river crossings. The green season from January to March brings the calving on the southern plains, lush scenery, fewer crowds and exceptional value.
